Kanchanaburi Safari Park - Kanchanaburi Tourist Attractions

One of the most exciting and fun tourist attractions outside of Bangkok is Kanchanaburi Safari Park. Just 40 km from town in Bo Phloi District, Kanchanaburi Safari Park & Open Zoo is a man-made habitat for several African & Asian animals - lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras and bears.

The landscaping is beautifully designed and offers great insights into the habits of the animals. The whole area around the park is highlighted by some beautifully decorated pavilions which house gift shops, cafes and restaurants.

Bowls of food to feed the animals (bananas, vegetables etc.) can be bought from the main entrance for just a few Baht.

Cars and pick ups are welcome to drive around inside the park.

The best way for tourists to see the whole grounds is to take one of the park buses.

The driver will take you through each section, giving you excellent photo opportunities as well as getting "up close and personal" with several animals, most notably the giraffes who will "invade" the bus for some food...great fun!
